Bishops, Religious Mark Anniversary
In a pastoral letter issued on Pentecost Sunday, Archbishop Philip Wilson, President of the Bishops Conference, marked the 40th anniversary of the 1967 referendum which gave the Commonwealth power to make laws in respect of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and to count them in the reckoning of the census.
